The Coleman Way:
Braces for Change

At Coleman Orthodontics, we believe every child deserves to feel confident, seen, and supported. Sadly, more than 3.2 million students report bullying each year—many due to their smile or appearance.

That’s why we created The Coleman Way: Braces for Change - a program designed to recognize courage, resilience, and kindness in students who have faced bullying or adversity.

What Is Braces for Change?

Each year, we will honor one deserving student with our Bravery Award, which includes complimentary comprehensive orthodontic treatment at our office.

This program is about more than straight teeth. It’s about restoring confidence, celebrating strength, and giving students a renewed reason to smile.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Students who:

  • Have experienced bullying or hardship
  • Have demonstrated courage, kindness, or resilience
  • Would benefit from orthodontic treatment

How to Be Considered

Students cannot nominate themselves directly. To be considered, they must:

  1. Find a teacher, school counselor, administrator willing to act as their sponsor.
  2. Ask their sponsor to complete and submit the official nomination form.
  3. Include a brief explanation of why the student deserves the Bravery Award.

We believe the adults who see students daily are in the best position to recognize those quietly showing strength and character.

How Schools Can Participate

We invite teachers, counselors, and administrators to partner with us in recognizing students who inspire others through their courage.

If you know a student who deserves this opportunity, please complete the nomination form below.
